P is for Pteradactyl by Raj Haldar , Chris Carpenter , Illustrated by Maria Beddia

An appreciated gift from my husband, who enjoys a touch of silliness himself from time to time.

A children’s book for adults.

Or maybe an adult book for children.

Or for people that appreciate silliness and the intricacies of the English language and the way it had adopted and adapted words.

Showcasing words beginning with ‘silent’ letters (except X, which was a bit of a cheat using Roman maths!) P is for Pterodactyl is a fun introduction to, and springboard for, readers of all levels frustrated and fascinated by English and its seemingly insane spelling.
